Dr. Claps graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Pinnacle Health. He also completed advanced fellowship training in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. He uses the latest techniques and technologies, such as the direct anterior approach (DAA) and robotic-assisted surgery, to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Claps is passionate about providing excellent care and helping his patients achieve their goals of treatment. He strives to make each patient feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment process. He also enjoys educating patients and their families about hip and knee conditions and procedures.
